Road Trip! Well, If I Had $6000.00

This is a very nice Thing at $6000, a very reasonable price, and it would be a great road trip to fly out out, buy it, and drive it home.... Not gonna happen unless I rob a bank, but a guy can dream, right? (SOLD)

I prefer this orange one, cheaper ($5500 4500!!! still for sale! argh!), closer, and not in as good shape as the yellow one, which is why the price is so reasonable for the yellow one! (SOLD)

The Left Keeps Winning, Joe McCarthy version

So, I stumbled upon this article in Yahoo news about communist oppression of an American journalist.

I then read some of the comments, which is a mistake, I know (never, ever, read the comments!), but there were two gems to be found, one sad, one happy.

Sad: People still think that McCarthy was wrong? Really? How many times must a guy be vindicated by history for people to know he's been vindicated by history?

Happy: later, this guy ("Big Leo") shows up with all kinds of knowledge about Cuba and Eastern Bloc Communism and he says this, among other things:

For the first twenty years of my studies, I went with the flow and thought it was a shameful incident in our history. Since then, I have learned from further study, what was shameful about it was how the Communists managed to escape being identified and punished for their treason."

It can happen, folks, people can learn and change. Leo did, and gets all kinds of grief on Yahoo from the progs.

Well, Sean Penn is campaigning for Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, which is yet another reason that he is an idiot. You decide if Chavez is a good guy or bad guy and make your own decision, ok?

Sandra Fluke is and has always been a tool of the Obama campaign, of course. Duh.

Fishing expeditions can go both directions.

I Hate Smoking, but This Is Crap.

"A tiny amendment buried in the federal transportation bill to be signed today by President Barack Obama will put operators of roll-your-own cigarette operations in Las Vegas and nationwide out of business at midnight.

But a few paragraphs added to the transportation bill changed the definition of a cigarette manufacturer to cover thousands of roll-your-own operations nationwide. The move, backed by major tobacco companies, is aimed at boosting tax revenues.



Faced with regulation costs that could run to hundreds of thousands of dollars, RYO machine owners nationwide are shutting down more than 1,000 of the $36,000 machines.


"I feel it's kind of shaky,'' Wiessen said. "The man who pushed for this bill is Sen. (Max) Baucus from Montana, and he received donations from Altria, a parent company of Philip Morris. Interestingly enough, there are also no RYO machines in the state of Montana. It really makes me question the morals and values of our elected speakers."

It's all about the tax money, and always has been, folks, it has NEVER been about health. If it's legal, it's legal, if it's not, it's not, then completely ban it, right? Nope, gotta get the tax revenue.

BTW, Baucus is a Democrat, so if you are naive enough to think that only one party gets "big tobacco" money, you are a fool.
