I have a moderately diverse Twitter stream. I don't follow a gazillion accounts so I can keep it manageable (like my Instagram), but I have some smart people that are libs and some smart people that are cons (and libertarians) because #facts.
I have a Disney guy in there that has decided to come out as a Trump-hater, but because I like his Disney posts, I ignore the dumb political stuff. He "liked" this post from a crazy socialist running for office in Virginia:
This was actually my 5th reply. You see, you should be more like Dave, remember? One way to be more like me is to doubt what you read and see.
For example, I saw a tweet about how Google employee emails revealed that they conspired to help Hillary in the last election. Looking at the (conservative) source, I'm like "nah, I'm going to wait to see if this is actually true" as opposed to the additional FBI texts story that says they conspired to leak bad intel to make Trump look bad, where I'm like, "yup, I buy that."
So, when I say this enticing image had been liked into my twitterfeed, I thought, "waitaminutetherefella. We spend a ton on that stuff. Other twitterers pointed out that this was an old Soviet editorial cartoon, which is interesting (and referred to in another tweet I tweeted), but I immediately started Googling to find some numbers to compare $$ spent on "War" (or as we call it, Defense) and the other poor empty tables.
Funny enough, coming from a small-time Twit like me, my posts got very little traction (the most had 55 hits), but here they are:
So, relatively politely showing the guys totally wrong, and idiots like and retweet the original post with abandon. Argh. Well, I just looked and he tweeted that he muted to conversation because it got retweeted so much. Way to stay stupid, dude. I was tempted to reply to that tweet, but I'm done here.

Thatcher's Enemies Reveal Themselves
So, this from the Telegraph tells us eveything we need to know, right? I love it when the socialists, marxists, etc., prove we conservatives right with their words and behavior......
*** Update, this commenter on a Heritage article makes an excellent point, that I didn't explicitly make here:
He or she also makes a point I've been making for years about the ideological battle. We think the left is wrong, they think we are evil. If you don't recognize and fight that, you can't win the ideological battle. Anyway, the oppposite is true: leftism is evil!
"On Facebook she appears in photographs holding a hammer and sickle flag and posing alongside former Cabinet Minister Tony Benn and left-wing writer Owen Jones." She's a communist?
"Blythe said her dislike of the former Prime Minister came from being told she might never find work on leaving school in 1984 " She's selfish?
"A number of police officers were injured on Monday and arrests were made as hundreds held parties around the country when news of Lady Thatcher’s death was announced.
In Bristol six officers were injured as they tried to break up a gathering of around 200 people and were pelted with bottles and cans. One officer remains in hospital and one person was arrested for violent disorder.
In Brixton, south London, smashed windows and looting of shops was reported as two women were arrested on suspicion of burglary.
More than 100 people gathered in south London suburb - the scene of fierce riots in 1981 just two years into her first time in office. Some scaled the nearby Ritzy Cinema and changed the film listings to read "Margaret Thatchers dead".
Anarchist groups have warned of more mass protests on Saturday, with expected numbers between 2-3,000.
The events are being organised by a group called Class War with help from other groups such as the All London Anarchist Revolutionary Mob, which says it is “committed to radical action to undermine the state,” are also mobilising supporters to attend 25 locations across the country."
They are a bunch of thugs? Anarchist Thugs?

Perhaps the left in the United States have been infected by the same malicious virus that taints the left here in Great Britain. We on the right look down on the left as misguided and foolish whereas the left viscerally hates us as evil child killers, or worse. It is inconceivable that proper-thinking conservatives would ‘dance in the streets’ at the death of Chavez or eventually Castro (2 icons of the left), but that is exactly what has happened on the death here in England of one of the world’s greatest post-war leaders, Margaret Thatcher. We live in strange times.

Socialism Isn't..... (and RIP Mrs. Thatcher)
Facebook posts are sometimes fun!
A friend posted "The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money." RIP Margaret Thatcher
and one of her friend's replied: Ultimately ironic given that she benefitted greatly from a number of "socialistic" features of her country - number one being national health care.
and she said: She fought many socialistic things in her country and her legacy is strong. She did a lot of good for the world at a difficult time in world history.
and he said: she did. No doubt. I just worry about us continually attacking "socialism" when most of don't seem to understand that our public schools, roads, water & sewer, police, fire, hospitals to some extent and even our private insurance are all forms and degrees of socialism. Even the most wealthy of us depend on infrastructure brought to us through a form of socilism.
and she replied: But there are points of taking it too far. If not having crossed that point already, we are dangerously close. True socialism is not good.
Definition of SOCIALISM:
1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2

2
a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done
BLAM!!
I had to chime in: Nice showing that, by definition, socialism has nothing to do with schools, roads, fire, etc. as well....

Socialists Tell You What They Are All About
See, I have a lot more respect for honest, upfront socialists than the progressives, who are for socialist policies but either don't realize it or won't admit it.
This came from The Blaze (to which I never go, frankly) via a tweet. WARNING, a socialist drops the F-bomb several times and talks about his feelings (this is highlighted in the only manipulative edit. It's funny, so it's okay with me, and doesn't change the meaning of what he says).
So, watch and make fun of the total inanity of what these folks are saying.
Let's see, Rob, two things: when the workers pay for the fixtures, the licenses, the taxes, the fees, the inspections, the supplies, the insurance, etc., that the owner has paid, then we can talk about shared ownership. Seriously, did he whine about being told when to come to work, and what to cook? "I'm sorry, Ma'am, the cook chose to make your Pad Thai with beef a Wisconsin Chicken Macaroni in the face of your oppressive capitalistic demand."
Then, let's discuss you selling the magazine... that's okay, right, because the proceeds from the sale are evenly distributed among all that were involved in the production of the magazine, right? Maybe I should have him read my very short explanation of capitalism.
Oooh, and I love the kid, Ben, that identifies himself as from a "radical collective space in West Bend Wisconsin." Seriously? I would have laughed out loud saying something that silly, but not Ben, he believes it.
Now, I might challenge their definition of socialism, anyway, as I have always been taught that it means the government owns the means of production, not the people, but that's just quibbling. Shouldn't they belong to a communist organization, not a socialist one?

Socailism in America, some appear to want it. Really.

Okay, I have to admin that I find this shocking:
Really? Have we failed our founders so miserably? Have we not taught the lessons of the wars we have fought, including the Cold War? My oldest brother used to say (not joke, but say) "do you know why they tore down the Berlin Wall? We lost." For those that don't get it, we are so much like the old Soviet Union that there was no point in keeping the wall up. Don't agree? Fine, but think about some of the laws passed and held up as Constitutional, like McCain Feingold or that unbelievable Supreme decision about eminent domain.
It makes me sad.
